Directions from Bergerac (Roumanière) Airport

Overview
Bergerac Airport (Aéroport de Bergerac-Roumanière) is only 76 miles west of Pasturat. The drive is largely on départemental roads and takes just over 2 hours. You pick up the D660 at Beaumont, and go via the bastide town of Monpazier, Villefranche du Périgord and the delightful villages of Frayssinet & Goujounac to join the D911 just after Rostassac, which takes you into Cahors. There, you join the D653 to take you up the Lot valley toward Pasturat.

Leaving the airport
Follow the airport access road for just over a mile, then

turn left onto the D14E2 to cross St. Nexans. A mile or so further on,

turn RIGHT onto the D19, in the direction of Saint-Aubin-de-Lanquais, Faux and Beaumont.

From St. Nexans to Beaumont

Follow the D19 for 8.5 miles, crossing St. AUBIN de LANQUAIS and skirting FAUX, until you join the D25, which will take you through NAUSSANNES and on to BEAUMONT, where you turn right onto the D660, in the direction of Monpazier and Villefranche du Périgord.

From Beaumont to Cahors

You follow the D660 for 36 miles, via the bastide town of Monpazier, Villefranche du Périgord and the delightful villages of Frayssinet & Goujounac. Just after Rostassac, turn LEFT at the T-junction with the D911 which you follow for 9 miles, via Espère and Mercuès, into Cahors.

Across Cahors

Upon entering the outskirts of Cahors, take the second exit at the first roundabout, to proceed up the hill towards the centre of town, with distant river views to your right.

At the next roundabout, take the third exit, the D161, sign-posted FIGEAC and CAJARC, which will take you down a ramp-like road known as the Côte Des Evêques to the final roundabout.

Here you take the second exit, the D653, sign-posted FIGEAC & AURILLAC.

From Cahors to St. Géry

Follow the D653 (which keeps crossing and re-crossing a little railway line) to take you through Laroque des Arcs, Lamagdelaine and Savanac (Blink and you miss it..!) At around 10 miles out of Cahors, you enter VERS. Shortly after entering the village, you will see a "joke" roundabout painted on the road, in front of a hotel called "Les Chalets". Take the RIGHT fork, following signs for St. CIRQ LAPOPIE, and St GERY on the D662. The road follows the river Lot (on your right) and, 3 miles further on, you enter St GERY.

From St. Géry to Pasturat

Go through ST. GERY, cross the railway line, and then, just before a Renault Garage on the right, called the Garage Charazac, turn RIGHT, to cross the river Lot, following signs for LALBENQUE and LIMOGNE on the D10. Immediately after the bridge, turn RIGHT again (signpost ARCAMBAL & PASTURAT), to climb up to PASTURAT. On entering the village, follow the road round to the LEFT (sign ARCAMBAL) up to the church. Cross the sloping square beside the church, change down and hurl yourself round three hairpin turns - one, to the right, leaving the square, then to the left and then to the right again. Immediately after this last turn you will see our house on the right, with a set of wrought iron gates painted a curious shade of lilac. If you overshoot, you will climb the hill and see the pool on the left.

The gite is behind the house, with a parking spot just behind our garage. From here you can see the gite's terrace below you. Please call into the house for the keys.
