The rural-france.com website describes holiday accomodation (a gite) available for weekly rental in Pasturat, in the lovely Lot valley, near Cahors, in Southwest France.
You should see a panel to the left (also reproduced
below) which contains a link to the pages which comprise the site; the page-name
highlighted with a dark background indicates the page that you are on.
To move to a different page, click on the appropriate part of the panel.
If you cannot see this panel, it is because you have disabled javascript
in your browser (or you have an ancient browser which does not support javascript).
You can still get around the website, but you will need to rely on the links at the
foot of each page.
Clicking on the logo panel at the top of any page will take you back to the first page on the site, which describes the gite.
Here's a list of the major parts of the site, accessible from the panel to the left of each page:
The convention used on the site is that clicking on links in bold type in
the text will over-write the currently displayed page; clicking on a link in normal
type will either change an image or text-area on the page you are viewing, or,
like this - pool -
will open a new window to display another page. Clicking on a photo on the site
will normally enlarge it in some way, in a new window. So you need to have pop-ups
enabled to get the most out of the site.
When you see this icon, it indicates that there is a video available: clicking on the
icon will open a new window to display the video. Only use this facility if you have a
high-speed Internet connection (ADSL, ISDN or cable), as it will not work on lower speed
dial-up links. There will be a short delay (during which you will see a black screen)
before the video starts to play. The length of this delay (which could last up to 30
seconds) depends upon the speed of your Internet connection. For convenience, all the
available videos are also accessible from the 'Videos' page.
Printing Tip: The gite contains a printed copy of the website (as well as lots of other documentation on the local area). If you want to print off any pages yourself, please set your page margins to the minimum possible. Exact values will depend on your printer, but 0.136 inches or 3.47 mm. seem to work well for the left, right and top margins, with 0.46 inches or 11.6 mm for the bottom margin. So before printing a page, select 'Page Setup' from the 'File' menu option at the top left of your browser window, to change/verify your margin settings. Most pages are printable as they appear; those that aren't sport a link to a printer-friendly version.
